Privacy Policy

This policy explains what American Ground & Snow Management LLC collects when you use our website, call or text us, or hire us to work on your property, and what we do with it. We are a landscaping, snow, and property services company in Mystic, Connecticut. We are not in the business of selling data.

Information you give us

Our quote and contact forms ask for your name, email address, phone number, property address, property type, the service you are interested in, and whatever you write in the message box. If you become a customer we also hold the records any contractor holds: what we did, when we were there, what we billed, and what you paid.

Only the fields marked required are required. You can always call instead of filling in a form.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ours records technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you stay, and the page or search that sent you. Our forms also record which page you submitted from and any campaign tags in the link you arrived on, so we know which of our own ads and posts actually work.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies for two things: keeping the site working, and understanding how it is used. Our analytics run on Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager, which tells us how many people visited a page and what they clicked, in aggregate.

A consent banner appears on your first visit so you can accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.

Text messages and phone calls

Our published number is handled through our customer relationship system, so calls and texts to and from it are logged against your record and may be recorded for quality and training. If you would rather not be recorded, tell us at the start of the call and we will make a note instead.

Consent

When you give us your mobile number on a form, over the phone, or in writing, you agree that we may contact you by text about your property, your estimate, your schedule, your invoice, and services we offer. Consent to marketing texts is never a condition of buying anything from us.

Frequency and cost

Message frequency varies with what is happening on your property. Message and data rates may apply, and those are between you and your mobile carrier.

Stopping messages

Reply STOP to any text and we stop texting that number. Reply HELP for help, or call us at (860) 980-1129. Opting out of texts does not cancel your service, and we may still contact you by phone, email, or post about work in progress.

What we never do

We do not sell your mobile number, and we do not share it with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. The only companies that touch it are the vendors who run our phone, texting, and billing systems on our behalf, and they may not use it for anything else.

How we use what we collect

• To answer you, price the work, and schedule it.
• To do the job, invoice it, and collect payment.
• To keep you posted on visits, weather delays, and anything we find on your property.
• To tell existing customers about seasonal services, such as snow contracts in the autumn.
• To understand which of our marketing works, so we spend less on the parts that do not.
• To meet our legal, insurance, licensing, and tax obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it. We share it only with companies that run parts of our business for us, and only so they can do that work:

• Our customer relationship, forms, texting, and calling platform.
• Our field management and billing system, which is where your invoices and customer portal live.
• Our payment processor, which handles card and bank details directly. We never see or store your full card number.
• Google Analytics, for the aggregate website statistics described above.
• Our website host and email provider.
• Subcontractors, when a job needs a trade we do not do in house, and then only the details needed to do that job.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, to enforce an agreement, or as part of selling or reorganising the business. If that last one ever happens, the buyer inherits the obligations in this policy.

How long we keep it

Customer and job records are kept as long as we have a business relationship with you, and then for as long as tax, insurance, contractor licensing, and warranty rules require. Enquiries that never turn into work are kept while we might still reasonably follow up. Website analytics are kept in aggregate on the schedule set by the analytics provider.

Your choices

• Email: every marketing email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom.
• Text: reply STOP.
• Phone: ask us to stop calling and we will note it on your record.
• Access, correction, and deletion: write to us at Admin@agsm-usa.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, fix anything wrong, or delete what we are not required to keep. We may need to confirm who you are first.

Connecticut residents have rights under the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, including the right to know, correct, delete, and to opt out of targeted advertising and any sale of personal data. We do not sell personal data or run targeted advertising off it. To exercise a right, use the contact details below, and you may appeal a decision by replying to it.

Security

The site runs over an encrypted connection and access to customer records is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfect, so we do not promise absolute security, but we do not keep what we do not need, and payment details sit with our processor rather than with us.

Children

Our services are sold to adults and this site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information. If you think we have, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

Where we link out, for example to our customer portal, a review page, or a social profile, that company's own privacy policy governs what happens there.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top. Material changes to how we handle your information will be flagged on this page.
