Terms & Conditions
Effective September 4, 2026
These terms cover the use of this website and the general conditions we work under. They are written in plain language on purpose.
Your signed agreement comes first. If you have a written estimate, service agreement, or seasonal snow contract with us, that document governs the work, the price, and the schedule. Where it differs from anything on this page, it wins.
Who you are dealing with
This site is operated by American Ground & Snow Management LLC, 3175 Gold Star Hwy, Mystic, CT 06355, Connecticut Home Improvement Contractor #0704425. Using the site means you accept these terms.
Using this website
You may use the site to learn about our services and to contact us. Please do not attempt to break into it, scrape it at a scale that degrades it, submit false information through our forms, or use it to send anything unlawful. We may change or take down any part of the site at any time.
Estimates, quotes, and prices
Nothing on this site is a binding offer, and prices shown here are examples of what a service typically costs, not a quote for your property. A price becomes a price when we put it in writing for your address.
A written estimate is based on what we could see at the time. If the ground, access, drainage, buried utilities, or the scope itself turn out to be different once work starts, we will stop, tell you what changed, and agree the difference with you before carrying on.
Scheduling, weather, and access
We work outdoors in Connecticut, so weather moves the schedule. Maintenance visits can shift by a day or two after heavy rain, and during a snow event our route order is driven by conditions and by the priority set in each contract.
We need safe access to the areas we are working on. Please keep gates unlocked or give us the code, keep pets inside on service days, and move vehicles off the drive when we are plowing or paving. If we cannot get access, we may have to treat the visit as attempted and reschedule.
Things you need to mark or tell us about
Please point out anything buried or fragile before we start: irrigation heads and valve boxes, invisible pet fences, low-voltage lighting cable, septic components, well heads, drainage lines, and anything else that is not visible from the surface. We take reasonable care, but we cannot avoid what we do not know is there, and we are not responsible for damage to unmarked buried items.
Payment
Invoices are due on the terms stated on the invoice or in your agreement. Recurring maintenance and seasonal plans are billed on the schedule set out in that agreement. You can view invoices and pay through our customer portal, and card and bank details are handled by our payment processor rather than by us. Unpaid balances may pause service and may carry late charges where the agreement or Connecticut law allows.
Cancellation and changes
Cancellation, pausing, and change terms depend on the service, and they are set out in your written agreement. Seasonal snow contracts in particular are priced on a whole season and on route capacity, so their terms differ from per-visit work. Connecticut home improvement law also gives you cancellation rights on certain contracts, and where it applies, those rights are stated in the contract itself and are not limited by this page.
Workmanship
We stand behind our work and we are licensed and insured. A certificate of insurance is available on request before work begins. Any warranty on installed work is the one written into your agreement. Living material such as turf, plants, and seed depends on watering and aftercare, so its guarantee, if any, is stated in that agreement rather than implied here.
Photographs of completed work
We photograph jobs for our own records, for estimating, and sometimes to show the work on our website or social media. Photographs show the property, never your name or address, unless you have told us in writing that we may use them. Ask us not to and we will not.
Text messages
Our texting terms are the same ones set out in our Privacy Policy: consent is never a condition of purchase, frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, STOP opts you out, HELP gets help, and we never sell or share your mobile number for anyone else's marketing.
Promotions and giveaways
Any contest or giveaway we run is governed by the rules published with it, including its entry period, eligibility, and prize. Where those rules and this page differ, the rules for that promotion apply.
Our content
The text, photographs, layout, and logos on this site belong to us or are used with permission. Please do not copy them for your own commercial use. You are welcome to link to us.
Disclaimers and limits
The site is provided as is. We keep it accurate but we do not promise it is complete, current, or error free, and general information here is not advice about your particular property.
To the extent Connecticut law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of this website. Nothing on this page limits our liability for our own negligence in performing work at your property, for personal injury, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here replaces the protections in your signed agreement or under Connecticut home improvement law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts serving New London County, Connecticut.
Changes
We may update these terms, and the effective date at the top will change when we do. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the updated version.
